Meg here (some of you might know me as "Just Meg")! I recently had the pleasure of traveling to Ruidoso, New Mexico for the annual Lincoln County Cowboy Symposium. While at the symposium, I decided to capture some images of all the action going on around the Ruidoso Downs Race Track and Casino.
One of my many passions is photography. As the host of RIDE TV's #RIDEOnTheRoad, I get to travel to some pretty incredible places and meet some pretty incredible people, which is why I usually like to lug my camera along with me!
I hope you enjoy these fun, behind the scenes photos of our trip to the Cowboy Symposium. Be on the lookout for coverage of the event during a special segment of RIDE On The Road. If you haven't already, "Like" RIDE TV on facebook to keep up with all premiere dates and times.
Watching all of the chuck wagons get set up and prepared for the annual cook off was a sight to see. The amount of work each chuck wagon team put into the event was tremedous. Plus, the food wasn't bad either...I'll get to that in a second...
Okay, so maybe "the food wasn't bad" was an undestatement. It was delicious!
All work, no eating here! That's Nate the brains, the creative and the producer behind RIDE On The Road.
Did you know chuck wagons are also judged on their authenticity? You learn something new every day!
Personalities were abundant in the "mountain men" camp! I enjoyed getting to meet and interview my new mountain man friend, Tim.
Let's not however, forget the horses...after all this is RIDE TV! Mounted shooters perform their grand entry before kicking off competition.
There were some sharp shooters in the bunch. I would not mess with some of these women!
Why not close it out with a cowboy tune!
I hope you enjoyed these photos from the 2016 Lincoln County Cowboy Symposium. Check back often for more fun #RIDEOnTheRoad posts.
