Reflection: My Internship Experience at RIDE TV
Entering my senior year as a film/television/digital media major at TCU, the thought of graduating was terrifying. What will I do? Where will I work? I felt behind and like I was lacking experience. Luckily, I stumbled across an internship posting from RIDE TV. I was hesitant to apply because I had limited experience. After applying I had a phone interview and then a few days later, I received an email that I was accepted into the internship program. It was an exciting moment and a nerve-racking one. My anxieties were eased once I met Will and the rest of the RIDE TV team. Over my 8 months at RIDE TV, I learned so much. I was able to not only apply what I was learning at TCU but was taught things I hadn't learned in my classes. The many projects I worked on gave me skills I will be able to apply wherever I go. And everyone I worked with was so patient and willing to help me.
Thank you, Will and Amanda, for giving me this opportunity and teaching me so much! Thank you, Liz, for always being available if I needed anything (and being patient with me that one time I was lost in the middle of nowhere with cows on the way to TBRA Finals). Thank you, Ella and Catherine, for the projects you let me assist on! And thank you Deb for always being a friendly face and for never laughing at me too hard when I struggled opening the heavy front door! I'll miss coming in and working with you all. Thank you again to everyone at RIDE TV, graduation is a little less scary now!
