Fall Fashion Trends is officially here! That means it’s time to trade in your flip flops for boots and start chugging Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Here are some of the top fall fashion trends for 2017.

Vests, Vests, Vests

A vest is a staple for the fall. You can throw it over any long sleeve shirt or dress to add something extra to any outfit. Faux fur vests are especially big this year.

This Love Tree vest is styled over a Wrangler pearl snap shirt. It adds something fun to a traditionally western shirt. Pair this with a pair of jeans and boots and it’s both functional and stylish for whatever the day brings.

Everyday Style

Okay, y’all, let’s be real. Though the calender may say Fall, here in Texas, it is still in the 90s. I am not about to put on a giant cardigan and some thick boots, as much as I may want to. Here are a few more practical styles that still scream ‘FALL!’ without giving you a heat stroke.

Green is the ultimate fall shade, in my opinion, and it looks good on everyone. Here are some great staple pieces that are perfect for throwing on in the morning and going out. They don’t require a lot of thought and you can mix and match these pieces to get lots different combos. Both outfits pictured are paired with the same pair of Seven jeans. This pair is super fun because of the fun thread detail on the outside. It makes this pair of capris just a little more interesting. These two tops are super easy to throw on and they are super cute. The camo v-neck makes the outfit a little more interesting. The long back and knotted front on the second top are super unique but still good for everyday wear.

Going Out

Okay, so let’s get to my favorite trend: VELVET. Velvet everything. Put it on tops, pants, shoes, skirts. Just give it all to me. I’ve noticed with this trend, people either LOVE it or really, really hate it. There is no in-between. I personally love it. I have yet to see something in velvet that I do not want in my closet. Though this isn’t really an everyday wear thing, if you are going out for a night on the town, this is the thing to wear. I am currently obsessed with these velvet bell bottom jeans.

I would pair these with a simpler top, like this black Staccato shirt. I think a tucked in body suit would be super cute as well. Another fun find in the velvet world that I recently found out about is printed velvet pants! You’ll be sure to get compliments in these fun pants.

All of these outfits (and a ton of other fun things) can be found at Teskey’s Saddlery and Bootique in Weatherford, Texas.
