Equine Rescue League

"Poppy" PC: Equine Rescue League

Pat Rogers founded the Equine Rescue League in April of 1990. Their goal is to provide care, rehabilitation, training and hopefully adoption for the horses at their shelter. They provide transportation and shelter for the horses seized by county and state humane officers. Not only that but they bring awareness to the public about horse neglect and abuse. The Equine Rescue League accepts monetary donations as well as farm and riding supplies. To donate to the Equine Rescue League, click here.

Red Bucket Equine Rescue

Founder Susan Pierce and Harlow PC: Red Bucket Equine Rescue

After Susan Pierce found a starving thoroughbred filly in July of 2008, she recognized the plight of our American horses. Realizing something needed to be done, she formed the Red Bucket Equine Rescue. Only a few months after rescue was open, they grew from 9 horses to 71. Their mission statement is "to save and rehabilitate horses, restore their trust in humankind, and find them safe, loving, permanent adoptive homes." You can donate to the Red bucket Equine Rescue to support the rehabilitation of neglected horses, here.
