Cowgirls Season 1 Reflection
With the first season of the RIDE TV original series, Cowgirls, coming to a close, the cast looked back on what this season has meant to them.
"I'm really proud to be a part of this series alongside these rockstar girls! Women have been getting on bucking horses and bucking bulls all along, but a lot of folks didn't know about it. RIDE TV has brought that to light. In a world where women and young girls turn on the TV to see shows promoting issues like the love of money, plastic surgery, botox, drama, infidelity, etc., it's nice to have an alternative that promotes issues like healthy competition, strength, courage, athleticism, humility, perseverance and friendship."
"Cowgirls has really opened my eyes in Season 1 on how much is possible with an incredible group of people in your life. Even through the exhausting long and hot summer days of traveling and riding, I could not have done any of this without the support of my rodeo family! I have loved every second of working with these ladies of Cowgirls and I'm extremely blessed to be able to call them family. I have more determination to come back stronger than ever to make them proud!"
"Overall, for me season 1 was bananas. It opened so many doors for me whilst closing others. I feel incredibly blessed to have been part of it and although it was exhausting I just seriously thank God for bringing me into contact with so many new and amazing people."
"We come from all walks of life but share the same 'Cowgirl' spirit which brings us all together. I love that RIDE TV has given us the opportunity to share our lives and passions with the world. What a blessing! This season has been full of ups and downs and has been an interesting one for sure. What an experience, an honor to be a part of such a movement in the world of rodeo. It's been a wild ride and I look forward to many more in the future!"
"Being able to be a part of Cowgirls has been one of the most amazing opportunities I've had. I've made so many great friends, gained a lot of experience, and had so much fun! I loved being able to ride some broncs and get to show the world a little bit of our lives as women in rough stock. Its been a lot of work but I wouldn't change a thing, and can't wait for next year! I'll be back, and hungrier than ever to be my best!"
"It's humbling to share a passion I thought I only had. To meet and get to know other girls kinda like me is rare. I'm always excited at every chance I get to not only ride broncs but to do it with, and against, these girls. My rodeo family means a lot to me. It's really the only time I get to see my friends and catch up. Sometimes rodeo is more than just riding broncs."
