Known as the world’s largest outdoor rodeo and western celebration, the Cheyenne Frontier Days is the experience of a lifetime! Ever since its opening in 1987, this rodeo has expanded as the years went on and more events were added. This western celebration is known as one of the most authentic and largest rodeo events in the world. This event takes place each summer day during the last full week in July. This ten-day event includes not only rodeos where you can see some bucking broncos, but also country music concerts and dances and much more. Whether you are a rodeo newbie or a modern cowboy, and whether come alone or with your friends and family, the Cheyenne Frontier Days offers fun for everyone. Be sure to check out our LIVE coverage of the Wild West Show on July 20th @ 4:00pm EST only on RIDE TV GO.

So, let’s talk about all the activities and events that makes the Cheyenne Frontier Days so special. First and foremost, this festival is located in the beautiful state of Wyoming, with mountain vistas topped with snow and blue skies stretching from horizon to horizon. Wyoming has sunsets, landscapes and natural wonders like nowhere else in the world. What better place to have a rodeo?! On top of its stellar location and beautiful scenery, this rodeo offers 9 days of action-packed events. These events include bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, steer wrestling, tie down roping, team roping, barrel racing, and wild horse racing. Although the rodeo is the main draw, Frontier Days offers so much more than just that.

In addition to the huge rodeo, there is a carnival midway that offers thrilling rides, delicious fair food, and games that everyone will enjoy. Frontier Nights is the big concert that takes place every night with some of the biggest names in musical entertainment, such as Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw, Lady Antebellum, and more! If visitors want to take a step into the past, they can visit the Old Frontier town! Here, there is a petting zoo, exhibits, educational experiences, and games offered. Another popular attraction is the Indian Village, where visitors can immerse themselves in authentic Native American Culture with costumes, dancing, storytelling, and music. There are a number of Native American exhibit booths and food vendors here, as well. The fun doesn’t stop there! The big Grand Parade is one of the most popular events. This huge parade offers incredible sights and sounds of some of the top marching bands and horse-drawn vehicles in the country!
